This is another potential large scale oil piece, but the concept is a good one. The figure in the fictive painting ended up looking too “skull like.” Also, the water color blending into the Chinese ink and it looks a little cadaverous. I also drew it out in a one stroke style without any under drawing so that was successful, too.

This is my next large scale oil painting I started, its hardly begun but this step is fun to see, especially the blank face.
3 Girls and a Pole →
I bought some black paper to design some mostly black compositions, but I ended up cheating myself and painting the girls hair and tops black as well… I also added some highlights to simulate the flash of a snapshot with questionable results.

I took some photos of the used tape from mounting a paper craft on to black piece of paper. Then I drew from the photograph.
